Profiles for Staff Listings

If you're looking for a good way to list a group of staff members in your organization, then you'll be happy to know that we recently launched improvements to the Profile content type on the GeorgiaGov web platform that makes it easier to do just that.

The Profile content type allows you to input as much or as little information as you want about people in your organization, from which point you can associate them as an author to blog posts (as we do on the this blog), or simply publish them to list on your site’s auto-generated Staff Directory page. Once you’ve published a Profile, it will automatically appear on that auto-generated Staff Directory page (at This is the way Profiles have always worked on our platform. But now, Profiles are more versatile, with some extra features that make them easier to list groups of people.

Organize by Staff Type

You can create custom listing pages for your staff, and assign each profile to a specific listing page. The State Accounting Office uses Profiles to display their Leadership team. You may want to use Staff types to list your board members on their own page, or to organize your staff listing by teams.

Manually Sort Your List

While these Staff Directory pages automatically default to listing all members in alphabetical order, now you can manually sort and order them if needed. So if you need to put your Director at the top of the list, for example, you can manually sort your list.

Profile Photos Show on the Listing Page

We’ve added profile photos to the left of each person's name and description on the listing pages. So now if you have uploaded a photo to each profile, those people's profile photos will show on their listing pages.
